Cork 103 FM Health Slot August 15th
Anneliese talks natural health matters with Patricia Messenger on Cork 103FM August 16th. All products can be ordered over the phone and posted out.
- Dry mouth: Omega 7 from Sea Buckthorn oil works most consistently for our customers. Omega 3 fats from fish is another option – we love Unocardio + for it’s potency. Vitamin A and E are also important for mucus producing cells that help with hydration. Include plenty red/orange/ yellow foods for Vitamin A and nuts and seeds for Vitamin E. Lactobacillus salivarius keeps the mouth healthy.
- Early Menopause: Natural hormone support includes evening primrose oil, Vitamin B6 and saffron for mood and anxiety. Sage is best for hot flushes. Isoflavones are oestrogen mimicking plant hormones that work instead of HRT. Very important to support bones. Eat calcium rich foods and take a Vitamin D3 and K2 supplement.
- Migraine: Identify triggers if possible: tension, posture, screen time, chocolate, coffee, hormones. Taking 400mg of riboflavin daily can work as a good preventative.
- Sleep: The remedy that works best for our customers over the years is NHP Advanced Sleep Support. Irish Botanica Peace and Calm is an excellent valerian remedy. Some people find magnesium biglycinate helps.
- Vertigo: Can be as a result of inflammation of the inner ear, but also from a trapped nerve in the neck or spine. Natural anti-flammatories include turmeric or the extract curcumin, Boswellia, pine bark extract, rosmarinic acid from rosemary.
- Red, itchy and swelling leg: Rule out cellulitis with the doctor as this can be dangerous. It might also be a reaction to an insect bite – antihistamine cream with help.
